how i can incorporate this into my coursework;
- Paradigms are identifications of key elements which occur in that text and in others of the same genre. audiences recognise these paradigms and bring a set of expectations to a text.
expectations of a horror film or trailer would be protagonists, plots, situations, decor themes etc (Burton). My paradigms would include; a possibly 'mentally ill' protagonist, the plot is very suited to the genre, the locations such as old private school and farming land and finally the cold winter weather.
